Fisun Ercan pent her childhood in Izmir, Turkey, where she learned the art of cooking and natural food processing with her mother and grandmother. The integration of seasonal ingredients has always been at the heart of her practice. It's this respect for the cycles of nature that she perfectly integrates into Racines, where, through life stories and amazing recipes, she shares with us her love for farm-to-table cuisine, her Turkish origins, and the rhythm of Quebec's seasons.
After visiting Bika farm and experiencing a magical culinary experience, I couldn't help but fall in love with Chef Fisun Ercan's exceptional work, with whom we share more than our Turkish origins.
It is a real honour to showcase this book on our website, and we are very proud that Fisun enjoyed our aprons and napkins so much that she decided to feature them in her restaurant and shop!
We also love the photographic work of Sylvie Li as well as that of Daniel Raiche, to whom we owe the culinary stylism of this book paying tribute to farm-to-table cuisine.
